The Ghana International Petroleum Conference (GhIPCon) and Exhibition is organized by the National Petroleum Authority in collaboration with the Ghana Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD), the Association of Oil Marketing Companies and under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy.
GhIPCon brings together regional and international petroleum downstream experts, leaders, and innovators to bring to the fore the industry's perspective and guidance on issues of industry best practice, governmental and regulatory policy, operational strategies, innovation, financing, and investments.
Over the period, a total of five editions have been organized to address various industry issues that are pertinent to the times. The event hosts over 1,500 professionals, expert speakers, and industry stakeholders from more than twenty-five countries representing various industry stakeholder groups.
The sixth edition of GhIPCon will be held this year under the theme, “The Petroleum Downstream: Building a Future for Growth, Efficiency, and Sustainability. The event will be held over a two-day period, from 17th to 18th July 2024.
Under the theme, there will be presentations and break out panel sessions comprising local and international experts to discuss and deliberate on various topical issues. The theme, topics and discussions are designed to stimulate regional discussions that will set the tone for policy direction, industry best practice, investments, and technology.
As part of initiatives towards the sixth edition of GhIPCon is the Downstream Gala and Awards night. The maiden edition will be held on 19th July 2024. The awards are designed to identify and recognize exceptional industry players along Ghana’s downstream value chain. This is expected to recognize and promote compliance and best practice amongst licensed downstream operators.
